A Very International Variety Show – UPDATE

Tracey Anderson writes:

“Claire and I were thrilled on Monday night to see so many people at the information evening for The Cheriton Players next show, A Very International Variety Show – It’s a Little Bit Bonkers!

We began the evening with some wine and mince pies, in the festive spirit, and those who came along left full of enthusiasm for what we know will be a show packed full of fun and variety.

We know that there were some who were not able to make the information evening due to other commitments. If you are one of these people – please see the interest form attached and email us with any information at by 31st December please.

The show will consist of an opening musical number, two main musical numbers requiring a female and male chorus and three main acting pieces. In addition, as in previous years, the show is designed to grow and develop as we go along, and we want as many ideas of ‘International’ themed acts as possible. This really is a local show and an opportunity to have lots of fun whilst at the same time show casing local talent. If you have an act that fits our theme please let us know!

We are very lucky to have secured a very talented musical director, Theo, who has already begun to adapt and work on our main musical numbers. We are very much looking forward to working with him.

The show run will be 3rd – 6th April, which will include a matinée on the Saturday afternoon. All participants will need to be available for the Sunday, Monday and possibly Tuesday prior to the show run for tech and dress rehearsals.

Rehearsals start on 7th January and will be Monday (acting) Wednesday (music). The first rehearsal week will be the opportunity to share your ideas/acts with us and to read through and cast the main acting pieces.

We look forward to hearing from you!
