Never Say Trevor Again!

Playwright Helena Gomm Director Helena Gomm

Overview

James' younger and less well-known brother is back in action both on celluloid and in the flesh on Cheriton Stage in November! This blockbuster sequel to the ever popular, almost award winning, Diamonds Are For Trevor featured stage and film action from start to finish with the usual dastardly villain, the Bond girl (of course), a Tiger Moth action scene, cheap one-liners and a new Bond vehicle... all filmed in exotic locations in no Wiltshire's, Dorset's and Hampshire's rolling countryside.

Helena Gomm’s specially written Bond spoof sequel took several months planning, some twelve days of filming over five months, 60+ hours of editing by our DoP Jim Glaister (who also shot most of the original footage, some of it hanging by his straps in a Tiger Moth), three months of stage rehearsal and a week’s run to a sell-out audience every single performance.

Eleanor Marsden, of Winchester Today, wrote “Never Say Trevor Again succeeds on a number of levels, not least because of the huge community effort evident from the roll-call of names acknowledged for filming locations, equipment loans, cast, crew, musicians, technicians, drone operators, model-makers… the commitment to the project over a long period from what is a relatively small community is astounding, and succeeds in pulling off an impressively slick performance which should by rights be seen by more people in a bigger venue.” To read the review in full, click here.

We welcomed new faces to the Cheriton stage once again and enlisted the help of an army of friends, relations, supporters and total strangers to pull this all together.
